Food Distribution

Claymont Community Center provides groceries to Delawareans in need with priority given to people living in specific zip codes. The Food Closet offers a variety of fresh, frozen, and canned items, including proteins, fruits and vegetables, cereals/grains, and dairy. Their goal is to provide each household with about 3-4 days of food each visit.

Program Details

Pre-registration is needed for this program. Clients can apply during pantry hours and are required to bring a photo ID and proof of Delaware residency for the head of the household and IDs for other household members. Medicaid, birth certificates, and school IDs are accepted for children.
