St. Paul’s Staff

Carm Evans, Lead Pastor
Pastor Carm leads with grace, clear communication, and a deep love for relationships. She’s passionate about helping people grow closer to God and to each other.
She believes life is often messy—and so are relationships. That’s why she creates space for honest, compassionate conversations. If you’re carrying something complicated, she’s someone who will walk with you through it.
Her own life is rooted in the relationships she holds most dear. She enjoys life with her husband of over 30 years, Doug; her daughter, Rose; her grandson, Romy; her father, John; and her brother, Carl.
Pastor Carm holds degrees in biology and psychology from LaSalle University. She earned graduate degrees in counseling psychology from Temple University and in divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary.
She has a special passion for welcoming people who have felt hurt or excluded by the church. To serve that calling, she completed a certificate in Fresh Expressions through United Seminary and graduated from the Fresh Expressions Academy in the Pen-Del/BWC region.
Before joining St. Paul’s, she launched Tree of Life Church—a faith community without walls, devoted to loving God by loving all of creation.

Jeff Nicely, Minister of Worship & Fresh Expressions

With a practical approach to ministry, Jeff brings his energy, creativity and professional skills to inspire and connect people in meaningful ways.

In her personal life, Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, dining out, vacationing with friends, and traveling with Mark.
